Bio

Emmanuel Owusu holds a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was advised by Patrick Tague. Prior to this, he studied Computer Engineering at Iowa State University. His research interests include ICT policy, trusted computing, and mobile security. His research explores the application of trusted computing principles to cloud computing architectures and mobile technologies to construct novel technologies with strong security assurance properties as well as help people interact with their digital data and services in secure ways. As a graduate student, his professional experiences include internships at Intel Labs, Bosch Research, and IBM Research. As an academic, he has been honored with the Errol B. Davis Alliant Energy Award, the NSF IGERT Graduate Fellowship, and as a Cisco Internet of Things Security Grand Challenge winner.
